January 19 2011

A few weeks ago a business colleague put out a challenge to write 100 life goals. Easy I thought, already done. On dusting them off I noticed that some were no longer relevant, the people were no longer living. Some still need more skills, team and opportunity. More telling though was that some were actually in process and nearing completion.

His challenge included focusing on five of the goals and taking them to completion.

Once again a quick review showed how close some are to completion. These are my five for 2011

1.     The Economic Vision Programme needs two or three weeks of focussed effort and the book a few hours of corrections to ready for launch and the market.

2.     Lekian Films projects continues to evolve in creating historical records.

3.     Airspeed International (a i-commerce venture) needs about four months of part time focus to generate a baseline cashflow with surplus for other ventures.

4.     A2Z (that's pronounced Zed) Publishing was born out of frustration with the limitations of storefront publishers and the time wasted endeavouring to get books published how the author wants.

5.     Breathe Easy. Clean air in a city environment is essential. On just a few hours a week on a part time basis it too can provide a baseline income and with the other projects allowing the building of team and expansion of all business projects.

Of course beyond these are personal goals which include getting weight to a more healthy level, building on fitness, spending more time with friends and family and taking time out on a more regular basis.

  1. Another satisfying day of Making Progress. The work ethics of the highly successful can serve us well. Success isn't built on interminable drudge, it is build on intense focus over given intervals. Then regrouping before the next period of intense focus.

There must be time to keep balance in life and that includes foremost, health.

Today the business projects flowed. The overlays for "Just Start Walking" are almost complete, and the final corrections for "Economic Vision" is almost complete, along with the probability of being interviewed on a national radio and TV network in the U.S.

All of which is leading to goals set almost five years ago.
