Eventually all that stood in our way moved,
we rose to the heights, over clouds and cities,
time became like the seasons, passing slowly
as we dream bigger dreams and revel in freedom.
The freedom that we couldn't see on the ground
it was just words somehow it was hard to believe
and yet another day of circles and dreaming
onwards upwards, slowly the dream grew brighter
The mansion on the hill, the songs yet to be sung
waiting for the time to write and give them voice
every day is one step closer, believe and dream
silver fades to gold and directly, pearls and emeralds.
No shadow of the work takes away the passion
nor the daily grind could slow us as we climbed
changing from the light of day into nights
till in the night as Diamonds we dreamed.
The journey just begun though, to fun and love
freedom beyond what we could ever have believed
life to be lived and shared without demands
eventually to beaches we come to play once more
We all need three things in life.
Something to look forward to.
Something to do
and someone to love.
Ask anyone who’s been around a while and they’ll agree.
